INTRODUCTION - T.I.F.A - TIETÊ INTERNATIONAL FILM AWARDS
The "T.I.F.A - Tietê International Film Awards" is a Brazilian festival with bimonthly and annual competitions, respectively the "Silver Anhuma" and "Golden Capivara" competitions, besides these we have a parallel award for films relevant to society and with a strong social impact, the "Bronze Tilapia" award, and the non-competitive screening "Ruby Giant Anteater" exclusive for Brazilian films, we are IMDb verified, in 2025 we will be in our fifth year.

Year V Golden Capybara - Annual Competition:

"Silver Anhuma" is the bi-monthly competition, submitted films compete for all possible nominations, those selected can participate in our Q&A and choose to attend the online screening, films are screened on our website for five days.
"Golden Capybara" is the annual competition, the winning films from the 5 bi-monthly competitions compete for the best of the year award and their films are eligible to be screened in person by the festival.
"Bronze Tilapia" is an extra award for those entered in the bi-monthly competition, the award is in recognition of the social impact of the film, all entrants can choose to be evaluated for the possibility of receiving this award, the winning films are eligible to be screened in person by the festival.
"Ruby Giant Anteater" is exclusive to Brazilians, it is not competitive, the selected films will participate in the festival screenings. Only films made in Brazil, by a Brazilian team and made after 2020 will be accepted.
We make presentations that can be online or physical and we have an online Q&A session, all winners of the bi-monthly competitions qualify for the annual competition, the "Golden Capybara".
We at "T.I.F.A." seek new expressions in world cinema, creating the opportunity for filmmakers from around the world to showcase their expressions and relevance.
We are a festival with transparency and accountability, all presenters not selected in a specific month can continue to compete throughout the year, it is a democratic way to give opportunities to all categories of artistic presentations.
Awards
All awards for each category will receive an "Award Certificate" and the respective Laurel.

RULES AND OBLIGATIONS - T.I.F.A – TIETÊ INTERNACIONAL FILM AWARDS
I - All movies not spoken in English MUST have English subtitles.
II - All entry fees are non-refundable. The submitter MUST enter their project in the correct category, otherwise their submission will be invalid.
III - Multiple entries from the same submitter will be accepted, with separate submission and separate entry fee accompanying each entry. However, in repeated entries from the same project, only the last entry will be considered.
IV - The decisions of the festival selection committee and jury will be final and unquestionable.
V - The committee reserves the right to NOT SELECT projects with possibly offensive or discriminatory content.
VI - The submitted films MUST be the original work of the submitter and MUST NOT violate copyright or any other third party rights. Entrants agree that they have obtained all necessary copyright permissions related to the music, sounds, images, etc. featured in their films. Therefore, filmmakers MUST have all rights associated with their films, thus allowing "T.I.F.A" to use clips for publicity purposes, including uploading clips, trailer, poster and images online.
VII - By submitting your project to "T.I.F.A", you allow our Festival to use printed materials of the film (such as photos, posters, trailers and clips) for promotional purposes on our website and social media. Therefore, all films selected for the Festival grant “T.I.F.A” the right to use the printed materials of the films for promotional purposes.
VIII - The burden of obtaining copyrights and all ownership interests in the submitted material rests solely with the applicant.
IX - The organizers of the T.I.F.A - Tietê International Film Awards reserve the right to change, cancel, or reschedule dates, awards, and award categories without prior consent or information to the participants, besides having total autonomy to select the jury, whether fixed or not.
X - The organizers reserve the right not to award any or all of the awards and nominations.
XI - Competition format:
The projects entered in the bi-monthly competitions can become selected and nominated. The nominated films that win the bi-monthly competition will get "Silver Anhuma" award. The winners of the Silver Anhumas will be the films featured in the festival and will have the right to compete in the final competition, becoming FINALISTS at the end of the year. Thus being able to compete for the Golden Capybara, being able to become the award winners of the year.
The final competition will be made between the winners of the Silver Anhuma in the bi-monthly competitions.
Entries that are not disqualified or not-selected by the selection committee and jury (i.e. films that has the judging status of Undecided) will have the chance to continue in the dispute and compete in other bi-monthly competitions.
XII. We, as organizers of the festival, understand that:
A) Feature films are films 60 minutes in length and above.
B) Short films are films over 1 minute and under 59 minutes long.
XIII. We will accept only films submitted in the correct categories:
A) Feature Film Category
B) Documentary Feature Film
C) Short Film Category
D) Documentary Short Film.
E) Experimental Short Film.
F) Animated Film
XIV. The films submitted will be evaluated and may compete in the following categories:
A) Best Film.
B) Best Director.
C) Best Cinematography.
D) Best Production Design.
E) Best Sound Design.
F) Best Screenplay.
G) Best Editing.
H) Best Acting Performance
XV. "T.I.F.A" will not publish the completed film online without the permission of the project holder. If the filmmaker decides not to screen films online, we will screen the particular short film for the Festival Jury only. All private films will be equally eligible for all awards.
XVI. Premiere status is not mandatory.
XVII. The film must be submitted in the correct category, otherwise it will be disqualified once evaluated.
XVIII. Filmmakers who choose to submit the film as a Student must prove their situation with a "Student ID". If there is no proof, the film will be disqualified, with no refund.
COPYRIGHT
By submitting your film to our festival, you agree that your project (full-length film, trailer) may be uploaded and/or embedded on our website. The filmmaker and/or production company that is submitting the film must own the rights to do so and is responsible for the content they are providing. By submitting, the filmmaker allows "T.I.F.A" to create a page for the film on their website and social media without violating any copyrights. Filmmakers can make an email request to remove the film link from the Festival's website at any time.
LEGAL WARNING
The applicant agrees to have read and accepted the rules and regulations for participation in the "T.I.F.A - Tietê Internacional Film Awards".
The applicant confirms that he/she has the necessary authority or has obtained the necessary authority from the producer and/or rights holder to enter this film in "T.I.F.A" and make the print available for exhibition. Under no circumstances will the "T.I.F.A" authorities receive or respond to anyone other than the applicant.
NOTIFICATIONS
After a film is selected for the competition, the filmmaker is notified only by e-mail. Selected films will be published on the festival's website and on the "T.I.F.A" social networks. All films selected and/or nominated for the competition will be informed by e-mail only and listed on the festival website. No questions or arguments will be received regarding films not selected. The selection committee's decision will be final and unquestionable.
